Account Area has three panels:

Projects

The account area's Projects Panel allows you to see a list of all projects to which you have view or administrative access. It will show a table where each row is one of the projects, and the columns are the following fields.

Project Short name for the project. This name is mostly used as an internal identifier, and only presented

to website users if a Description is not provided.

Description A longer description of the project.
Platform The technology used to generate the data. For example, it could be one of

RNASeq, MoExon (mouse exon array), HuExon (human exon array) or microarray (Affymetrix 3' UTR array). This is set automatically by the back-end.

Genome The genome assembly used for aligning the data or mapping array probes. This genome is also

used to find annotations, and to map between annotations.

Privilege "view" (view-only) or "admin" (view and control access).
Public "yes" means that all users can view the data, even without login. "no" means that only users

specifically granted "view" or "admin" privileges can view it. If you have administrative privileges for the project, then this will appear as a radio button group and you can change the setting (be sure to click the "Save" button).

If you change the "public" setting for a project on which you have admin privilege, the "Save" and "Reset" buttons at under the table will activate:

Save Save any changes you make to public settings for projects that you administer.

If the save is successful a message will appear underneath after a short delay.

Reset Reload page without saving changes. This will roll back to your last "Save", so once you "Save"

this will no longer undo your changes.

Permissions

This panel allows you to control the access privileges for other users on projects that you administer.

Each row of the table corresponds to a project. The first two columns are as follows:

Project Short name for the project. This name is mostly used as an internal identifier, and only presented

to website users if a Description is not provided.

Description A longer description of the project.

Further columns correspond to user names that have access (not including public access) to at least some of your projects. Change their access using the drop-down menus. You can add more users to the table using the "Add another user" input box and clicking "Go".

Changes are saved or reset with "Submit changes" and "Reset changes" buttons.

Account

Account panel allows you to change the personal information or password associated with your account. Although data access is controlled by login/password, ExpressionPlot does not use secure transfer protocols, so you should not use an important password.

Note that you can also request a password reset (sent by e-mail) in the login box in the top right.
